AUDITIONS

The Bethesda Blues and Jazz Youth Orchestra will be conducting auditions for middle and high school Jazz musicians throughout 

the academic school year at 5:00 PM at the Bethesda Theater. All musicians are welcome to audition.

Video or audio submissions are welcome throughout the year.

You may also audition in person at our rehearsals

Please send an email to director@bbjyo.org to request an audition time.

The musical director will then send you a musical excerpt to prepare so

that we can get an accurate idea of your musicianship and skill level.

 

You may also choose from the examples below in addition to any excerpts sent to you:

a classical piece or etude or solo part from a school ensemble 

a jazz piece or solo/section part from a school ensemble 

a piece from a Solo and Ensemble or District Band festival you’ve prepared 

 

We are looking for musicians who are excited about learning and performing Jazz with other young musicians!
