"In Session"

In Session is a monthly jazz workshop and jam session series designed to connect middle and high school students with acclaimed professional artists in a collaborative, educational, and performance-based setting. Rooted in the tradition of learning jazz on the bandstand, each session offers young musicians the opportunity to explore improvisation, build their musical voice, and engage directly with the artist.

Sitting In With The Masters

Sitting In With The Masters is specifically designed for high school and advanced middle school musicians who are passionate about jazz. You'll have the opportunity to "sit in" with the band, play alongside them, and ask questions about their path to becoming a "Master Jazz Musician." "Sitting in with the Masters" is sponsored by the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Foundation, with generous support from the Trawick Foundation.
